Scheduled yesterday – but wordpress doesn’t seem to have played along 😦
Let’s stick with the abstract!! N is for “Nein” = No. Or what you’re more likely to hear, “Neiiii….” because that’s what dialect does with words 🙂
Legendary poster insisting women did not want the vote in 1968 – they got it in 1971, eventually…
Switzerland is the closest state in the world to a direct democracy
Really, this “No” is just another excuse to cheat because all I’m going to do is link you to an explanation of how Switzerland, where you regularly get to write Yes or No (or rather, Ja or Nein!) on your voting form, actually works – it’s a true democracy and we all get a say and to be honest, I can’t think of a simple way of explaining it all in a post, so here you go:

Hang on – there’s an extra lady in that photo of the Sieben Weisen. (Snow White and the seven dwarfs?) And oh boy, do the Swiss know how to use that NEIII! vote 🙂
PS Want to do an insider story on the infamous Innerrohoden vote on female suffrage?
Want to do a guest post 🙂 🙂 :)?!
If I can keep it short!
She’s the Bundeskanzlerin… probably keeps order 😉
